At KRSC we offer a wide range of Tennis Coaching sessions, these are run by our LTA Level 3 Tennis Coach, Brad Stoneham & Level 1 Coach Danny French. These sessions are available for all ages and abilities are set up through the LTA structure.

Programme Categories:

Tots Tennis – Age 3 – 5 years

Tots is for children aged 3-5 years old and enables them to learn the basics and how to enjoy the game through a series of fun activities, based on the fundamental areas of balance, co-ordination, agility, movement, racquet and ball skills. Played with sponge tennis balls. (3-5 years old)

Mini Red Tennis – Age 5 – 8 years

Mini red players learn to serve, rally and score with a slow ball, as well as learning the movement and co-ordination skills needed for tennis. Players are encouraged to play fun timed-tennis competitions as individuals (5-8 years olds)

Mini Orange Tennis – Age 8 – 9 years

Mini orange players develop a rounded game, learning a range of techniques and tactics. There are individual timed-tennis competitions (8-9 years olds)

Mini Green Tennis – Age 10 years

Mini green players can now put their technique and skills into practice on a full size tennis court with a faster ball. There are individual timed-tennis competitions, with scoring extended to short sets (10 years olds)

Junior – Age 11+ years

Junior players develop their technical and tactical skills on a full size tennis court. There are individual timed-tennis competitions, full tennis scoring is used.

Junior+ session – this session is for individuals that compete and commit to more than one session of tennis per week and suitability is assessed by our in house coach (11+ years old)

Adult – Age 16+ years

Adult courses are available for players with little, or no tennis experience to players with a sound tennis background. These sessions will focus on developing technique and understanding using point-based drills and match-play. (16+ years old)
